Home Curtains

Home Curtains is situated right on 3/2 Bazaar Road, near Anna Salai in Saidapet. It’s a lively spot with a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. Our shop isn't very large, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with rolls of fabric and different types of rods. It’s often a bit messy with scraps of cloth on the floor and threads hanging from the sewing machines. We spend most of our time measuring fabric and stitching edges. It’s a quiet kind of work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to look at the new patterns or to ask for a small repair on something they bought years ago. We don't have a big sales team; it’s usually just one of us behind the counter and another person working the machine in the back. The light in the shop isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes the noise from Bazaar Road gets quite loud, but we’ve lived and worked here long enough that it just sounds like background noise now. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone sees a neighbor’s new curtains and asks where they got them, and then they end up here. It’s a steady way to run things without needing to be flashy or corporate about it. We just keep sewing every day.
