Indian Trading Corporation

Our place is on 4th Street in Appasamy Garden, right in Washermenpet. It is an old part of Chennai with narrow streets and lots of energy. The building is at number 21. We do a lot of trading here, mostly dealing with local goods and suppliers. It is a small setup. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is nearest the door just answers it. The street outside is always busy with cycles, autos, and people walking to the nearby markets. It can be quite noisy, especially in the afternoons. Inside, we have our desks and piles of invoices. We spend the day talking to vendors and making sure deliveries are on time. Sometimes the heat in Chennai makes it hard to work, but we manage with the old ceiling fans. We’ve been here for years, so we know all the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. It’s a very down-to-earth environment. We don't wear suits or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and deal with whatever problems come up that day. Sometimes there is a water shortage or a power cut, but we just carry on. It is a practical life. We focus on the daily movement of goods and making sure our records are mostly correct.
