Bikes World

If you walk down Walltax Road, you will find us at Bikes World. The road is always dusty and there is a constant stream of traffic, mostly people trying to get to the station or moving goods around. Our shop is packed with all kinds of bikes and spare parts. There isn't much room to move around inside because we have frames hanging from the ceiling and wheels stacked in the corners. We spend most of the day with grease on our hands, fixing chains or adjusting brakes for people who drop by. It’s a busy spot and we don't have much time for sitting around. The floor is covered in oil stains and we have tools scattered across the workbenches. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom. We just sell bikes and the parts needed to keep them moving. Some of the stock has been sitting on the shelves for a while, while other things move out the door as soon as they arrive. We talk to a lot of commuters who need a quick fix before they head off again. It’s noisy because of the horns outside and the sound of our own metal tools clanking together. We open up early and stay until the evening traffic starts to thin out. It’s hard work on your feet all day, but we like the mechanical side of things. It’s just a local bike shop doing its thing on a very busy and crowded street.
