Sri Balaji Traders Carving Works

We operate Sri Balaji Traders Carving Works over in Vyasarpadi. Our place is on E. H. Road, right across from Moogambigai Mahal. It’s a landmark that most people know, so it makes us easier to find. The workshop is usually filled with the sound of chisels and the smell of wood or stone shavings. We have various pieces in different stages of being finished scattered around the floor. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we have a lot of projects going on at once. Dust gets on everything, so we are always dusting off our clothes. We work mostly by hand, so it takes time. We don't like to rush things. The light in the morning is the best for seeing the fine details of the work. Sometimes people stop by just to watch for a minute while they are walking past on the road. The traffic on E. H. Road can be quite heavy, but once you step inside, we are just focused on the piece in front of us. We have a few benches and some old stools to sit on. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We have been here for a good while and the neighbors know what we do. It’s just us doing the carving work like we always have. We have a small radio that plays local music in the background. It helps pass the time. We just keep our tools sharp and our hands busy every day.
