Our shop is over at Rani Seethai Hall on Anna Salai. It’s a busy part of town, number 603 if you’re looking for the exact door. We spend our days surrounded by silver pieces, from small items to the bigger things people want for their homes. The traffic on Anna Salai is always moving, so there’s a lot of noise outside, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We aren't a giant showroom with hundreds of staff. It’s just us here, looking after the stock and helping people when they walk in. Most people know the hall, so finding us isn't too hard once you get to this side of the road. We handle the polishing, the sales, and the packing. Sometimes we get busy during the wedding season when everyone wants something special. Other days it’s just the regulars coming in for a small gift. We don't use fancy sales pitches. We just show what we have and let the work speak for itself. The shelves are full, and there’s always something to clean or reorganize. Working with silverware means we have to keep things looking decent, even if the building itself feels lived-in. It’s a job like any other, really. We like being in this part of the city. It’s got a lot of history, and we’ve been part of it for a good bit now. It keeps us on our toes and we like the routine that comes with this kind of work.
