We handle things like savings accounts and small loans for our members. It’s not a big corporate setup. We are just a few people working in the neighborhood. Adyar is a busy place, but our street is a bit quieter. We spend our mornings going through the ledgers and helping people who walk in. Most of our members are locals from the nearby streets. We don't do a lot of advertising. People usually hear about us from their friends or family. We like it that way. It keeps things simple. We don't have any big mission statements. We just try to manage the money correctly and keep the records straight. It’s a practical business. Sometimes we stay late to finish the monthly reports. Chennai can get very hot, so we're glad for the shade on 2nd Street. We aren't looking to expand all over the city. We're happy right here in Arunachalapuram. It's a nice community to be a part of. We see the same faces every week. That’s the best part of working in a local office. We just do our best to be helpful to the people who trust us with their money. It's plain and simple work for us.
