Over in Saligramam, specifically at 47 Arunachalam Road, is where you’ll find VM Audio Visual. The street is usually pretty busy with people and local traffic, so it’s never really quiet around the shop. We’ve got a lot of gear crammed into our space—speakers, projectors, and all kinds of cables that seem to get tangled no matter how much we try to organize them. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We started this because we liked the equipment, and it just grew from there into a full-time thing. The neighborhood is great, and we’ve got a lot of local shops nearby that we visit for coffee or snacks during the day. Sometimes the humidity in Chennai makes the equipment feel a bit sticky, so we’re always wiping things down. We aren't fancy people; we just know our way around a sound system. Most of the day is spent checking equipment or packing things up for someone who needs them for an event. It gets stressful when there’s a deadline, and you’ll see us rushing around the shop trying to find that one specific adapter. But usually, it’s just us doing our thing on Arunachalam Road, keeping the gear ready for whoever needs it next. It’s a solid place to work, even if the floor needs a good sweep every few hours. We just try to keep the customers happy and the gear in one piece.
