Our office is out in Bangarada, near Aska in Orissa. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s where we do our work. The post office is right in Aska, so we are well-connected in that sense. Being in this part of Ganjam district means we work at a slightly different pace than the big cities. We handle local operations and some of the technical stuff that needs to happen on-site. The building is simple, nothing to brag about, but it keeps us dry and gives us a place to store our equipment and files. We spend a lot of time talking to local workers and making sure our projects in the area are moving along. The landscape around here is mostly rural, so we travel a lot between different sites. It’s not uncommon for us to be out in the field more than we are in the office. When we are at the desk, it’s mostly to catch up on reporting and planning for the next week. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. Most people around Aska know the name and what we do. It’s honest work, and we try to do it as best as we can given the resources we have. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times it’s a total scramble, but that is the nature of the business in Orissa. It's a long way from the city, but we like it.
