If you ever walk down Rasappa Chetty Street in Park Town, you’ll see how crowded it gets with all the shops and people. Vinay & Company is located at number 32, right in the middle of all that noise. We’ve been here for a good while, and our space is filled to the ceiling with whatever we are trading that week. It’s an old building, like most things in this part of town, with high ceilings and narrow doorways that make moving crates a bit of a challenge. There is always someone coming in or out, and the phone doesn't stop ringing much during the day. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; it’s mostly just desks pushed against the walls and stacks of paperwork and samples. Park Town is a hectic place to do business, but it’s where everything happens. We know the other shop owners on the street, and we often see the same faces every morning. Our work involves a lot of talking to suppliers and making sure deliveries get through the narrow streets without too much delay. It can be stressful when the traffic is bad, but that’s just life in this area. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local company trying to get the orders out and keep the shelves organized as best as we can in the limited space we have.
