Being so close to the temple means there is always a crowd and plenty of bells ringing. It’s a lively place to work. Our office is a simple one. We don’t have those modern glass walls or expensive chairs. It’s just desks, some old files, and people trying to get their tasks done. Villivakkam is a neighborhood where everyone seems to know everyone else. We see the same people walking to the temple every single day. The work we do here keeps us busy enough that the hours go by fast. Sometimes the traffic on Mada Street makes it hard for people to reach us, but they usually manage. We handle all the typical enterprise stuff, mostly paperwork and coordinating things over the phone. It’s not a complicated setup we have here. We just show up, open the shutters, and start on whatever is on the list for that morning. When it rains, the street gets a bit flooded, but we just stay inside and keep working. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We are just part of the local landscape now. It’s nice to be in a place with so much history right outside the front door. We keep the tea kettle going and the paperwork moving along.
