You can find us at No. 18/20 in Kalaivanar Nagar. Vijay Contractors is basically a local team doing construction and repair work around Thiruvottiyur. We’ve been around this neighborhood for quite a while now. It’s not a huge operation with hundreds of workers. It’s just a few of us and some regular guys we hire when the job is big. We take on all sorts of things, from fixing a leaky roof to building a small wall or painting a whole house. The work is physical and we are usually covered in cement or dust by the end of the day. We don't have a big office or a receptionist. If you call, you’ll probably talk to one of us while we are at a site. We try to get things done on time, but sometimes the rain or materials not showing up slows us down. That’s just how it goes in construction work. We don't use any fancy talk or try to sell people things they don't really need. We just look at what needs fixing and tell you what it’ll take. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby in Kalaivanar Nagar. They know where to find us if there’s a problem. We’ve been doing this for years and it’s how we make our living. It’s honest work and we stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the tools sharp. It's just how we operate.
