Veskats Industries

Veskats Industries is tucked away at 464 in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. It’s an old area with a lot of manufacturing going on, so the sound of machines is pretty much constant from morning until evening. Our unit isn't huge but we have all the equipment we need to get our jobs done. We spend most of our time on the shop floor making sure the machines are running right and the parts are coming out okay. It’s a bit of a greasy job and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the shift. Ambattur is a good place for a business like ours because everything we need is nearby. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that for visitors. If you come by, you'll probably find us in our work clothes near the back. We've had some of the same machines for years and they still work better than the new stuff sometimes. The lights in the workshop flicker a bit but it doesn't bother us much. We just focus on the orders we have to finish for the week. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s honest work. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk about whatever is going on in the news or the local cricket scores. It’s just how things go at Veskats every day. We hope to stay at this spot for a long time yet because we like the neighbors and the atmosphere of the industrial estate.
