You can find Venture Lighting India Limited inside the MEPZ-SEZ area over in Tambaram. Our specific location is A30, D5 in Phase II, Zone B. Being inside a special economic zone means there is a lot of security and paperwork just to get in and out, but we are used to it by now. The facility is quite large compared to a regular shop. We have different sections for the office work and the actual handling of the lighting equipment. It’s a very busy place, especially when we have shipments coming in or going out of the zone. The weather in Tambaram can get really hot, so we’re glad for the fans we have running all day. Most of us take the staff bus or commute from the nearby areas. We aren't really a public-facing shop where you can just walk in off the street; it's more of a functional hub for the company. We spend our days tracking shipments and checking the quality of the components we deal with. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s what keeps the lights moving. The canteen nearby is where we all end up for lunch, talking about things other than work for a bit. It’s an industrial lifestyle here in the SEZ. We just focus on hitting our targets and keeping the operations at A30 running without any major hitches. We try to leave on time because the evening traffic in Tambaram is usually quite bad.
