Our business is located in Chennai, at Plot No 9 on Arulambal Street. We are specifically in Flat No 5 on the second floor of the Sriniketan Flats. It’s a residential building, so our office has a bit of a homey feel to it, even though it’s filled with files and office equipment. We handle both exports and imports, which keeps us quite busy. T. Nagar is a very active part of the city, and being here puts us close to a lot of other businesses. The name of the company comes from the partners who started it together. We don’t have a big corporate structure; it’s just a few of us working together to get the shipments sorted. Managing imports and exports involves a lot of time spent on the computer and the phone, talking to customs and transport people. Arulambal Street is a bit narrow, so it can be a struggle to find parking sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it. We’ve been in this flat for several years now. It’s a practical space for what we do. We don’t do any big advertising campaigns. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. It’s a lot of paperwork and tracking numbers. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Chennai; we just want to do our job well. We handle each shipment ourselves to make sure the details are right. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the daily trade work here in the city.
