Veda Day Spa Salon

You can find us over at 2/789 on 1st Street in Kazura Garden. It is right in the Neelankarai-Palavakkam area, and the easiest way to tell people where we are is just to say we are opposite Hot Chips. Everyone knows that spot. The salon has been here for a bit, and we keep busy with people coming in for haircuts or just to sit for a while and relax. We go through a lot of towels every day, so the washing machine is almost always running in the back room. The smell of shampoo and hairspray is everywhere. It is a nice enough place, though the floor gets covered in hair pretty fast and we have to sweep it up every twenty minutes or so. The street outside is usually busy with people heading toward the beach or getting food across the way. We have some plants near the entrance that we try to keep alive, even though the salty air from being so close to the coast makes it a bit tough. Sometimes the regulars come in just to chat for a bit before they even decide what they want done. We don't have any loud music playing, just the regular noise of the neighborhood and the occasional dryer. It’s a practical setup. We just focus on the people who walk through the door and try to keep things tidy enough for the next person.
