Varian Medical Systems India Software Private Limited is based in Anna Nagar East. We are located at W 70 on Fourth Street. Anna Nagar is a nice part of the city, with more trees than you usually see in the busier parts of Chennai. Fourth Street is relatively calm, although you still get the occasional vegetable seller walking by with a cart. Our office at W 70 is a simple building that blends in with the rest of the neighborhood. Inside, there are rows of computers and a few small meeting rooms with glass walls. It’s a software-focused environment, so it is usually pretty quiet except for the sound of typing. We have a small kitchen area where we keep the coffee machine, which gets a lot of use throughout the day. The humidity in Chennai is something we all deal with, so the air conditioning is always running. Most of us take a walk around the block during the afternoon just to get some fresh air and stretch our legs. There are some nice parks nearby if you have the time to walk that far. Working in Anna Nagar East feels a bit different than being in a crowded industrial park. It’s a bit more relaxed, and the commute isn't too bad for most of the team. We just come in, do our coding and testing, and head home when the streetlights come on. It is a good place to be.
