Our factory is located out in Velichai Village at number 40. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, away from the main city noise, which is nice in its own way. Being in a village, you see a lot more greenery than you do in the industrial estates, though once you step inside our gates, it’s all machines and metal. We make gaskets, so there’s always that specific smell of cut rubber and grease in the air. It’s a noisy place when the presses are running, and everyone has to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got a good crew of local people from around the village and some who come in from further out. The work is repetitive and can be quite tiring, especially when it’s hot, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with leather chairs. Usually, if someone visits, they just meet us in the small office area or right on the floor. We focus on the specs and making sure the dimensions are right because that’s what matters in this business. Life out here in Velichai is a bit slower than the city, but we keep a tight schedule to get the orders out. Sometimes the rain makes the road to the village a bit tricky for the trucks, but we always manage. It’s just a plain, hardworking factory where we try to get things done right without any unnecessary fuss.
