Keerthi Events

We operate out of G4 in the Malar Blossom building on Rajagopalan Street. It’s a residential area in Devi Karumariamman Nagar, so it’s usually quieter than the main roads. Keerthi Events isn’t a big corporation with a fancy office. It’s just us working from this ground-floor space. We have stacks of decorations, fabric rolls, and light sets piled up in the spare room. Often, the living area becomes a workspace when we have a big event coming up. We spend a lot of time on our phones or out meeting people at different venues. When we are here, we’re usually fixing things that got broken or cleaning the equipment for the next job. The neighbors are used to seeing us loading and unloading the van at odd hours. We don't have a big sign outside, just the apartment number. It’s a very hands-on job, and we usually have tape or glitter stuck to our clothes. We started this because we liked putting things together for parties, and it just grew from there. There are three of us who do the main work, and we hire extra help when the schedule gets full. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving chairs and setting up stages, but it’s what we do. We try to keep the place organized, but with all the props we own, it’s a bit of a struggle sometimes.
