Our shop is at No. 9 on the First Main Road in Svs Nagar. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to Holycraft School and Holycross School. You can usually hear the kids playing during recess. We’ve been in Valasaravakkam for quite some time now. Inside, there are stacks of fabric everywhere. We have cottons, synthetics, and all sorts of rolls piled up against the walls. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend the day measuring out meters and cutting cloth for people who want to get clothes stitched. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we can see what we’re doing. Sometimes the fans make a bit of a rattling noise, but you get used to it. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning and fancy lights. It’s just a regular textile store where you can find something for a school uniform or a simple dress. My hands usually have bits of thread on them by the end of the day. We get a lot of parents coming in because of the schools nearby. They usually know exactly what they need. We just pull the rolls down, measure them out, and wrap them in paper. It’s a steady pace. We open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It is just a local business like any other on this street. The shelves are a bit dusty on the top where we can't reach easily.
