Our place is at No. 14/27 on South Perumal Koil Street in Vadapalani. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets around the temple. Most mornings we spend dodging the scooters and people on the way to the door. The office is right there on the street, so we see everyone passing by. We do export work, mostly just handling the boxes and the shipping papers. It is a lot of writing things down and double-checking the labels so nothing goes to the wrong port. The fan in the back room makes a clicking sound but it keeps us cool enough. We usually have a lot of tea while we wait for the trucks to show up. Sometimes they are late because of the traffic near the bus terminus, but that is just how it is in Vadapalani. We don't have any fancy signs or anything. Just the name on the door and a lot of work inside. We stay busy with the local vendors and trying to keep the storage area organized, which is hard because it is a small space. By the end of the day, my back usually hurts from moving things around, but we get the job done. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come. It is not a big corporate setup, just a local business trying to keep things moving along without too much trouble.
