V. Poraikalam Clinic

V. Poraikalam Clinic is located at 15/8 Jaganathanpuram 1st Street in Chetpet. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, tucked away in the neighborhood. We are a small clinic and we like it that way because it lets us stay connected to the people living right here in Chetpet. The building is a typical house-style clinic that fits right in with the rest of the 1st Street. We open up in the morning and stay busy until the evening hours. Most of our work involves the common health problems that people in the area deal with. We have a couple of rooms for seeing patients and a small desk for the records. It is not a corporate setup at all. It’s more like a local shop where you know the people working there. We see a lot of the same families year after year. Jaganathanpuram is a nice area and being on the 1st Street makes us very accessible for the locals. We don't have any fancy mission statements or big goals, we just show up and do the work that needs doing. Some days it is just a handful of people and other days the benches are full. We take it as it comes. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and we try to keep things simple for everyone. It’s just a normal part of the day for us in this part of town. We’ve been here a while and know the shortcut to the main road.
