You can find us on the 1St Floor at 5, Dr. Singaravelu Street. T. Nagar is always crowded, so getting to the office takes a bit of time in the morning. Ushodaya Impex Pvt. Ltd. is basically a small team working out of this space. We deal with a lot of paperwork and shipping schedules. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve all just learned to ignore. Boxes come in and out, and there’s always someone on the phone talking to a supplier or a truck driver. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but the tea stall downstairs helps. We’ve been in this building for several years. The stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy samples up to the first floor is a bit of a workout. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It's just us handling the imports and exports. Some days are slow, while others are a complete mess with deadlines. We try to keep the files organized, but the desks usually end up covered in spreadsheets and coffee mugs. Dr. Singaravelu Street is a busy place to be, but it’s close to everything we need. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. Just a local business trying to keep things moving. We eat our lunch at our desks most days because there is so much to do.
