Ultra Tech Cements Ltd, Arakkonam Cement Works

You can find us in Arakkonam at No. 19/42 Nehruji Nagar, on the Sixth Street. It’s a typical Tamil Nadu town, and Arakkonam is a big junction, so there’s always the sound of trains in the distance. Nehruji Nagar is a busy residential and commercial mix. Our office for the Arakkonam Cement Works is right there on the street, and it’s a pretty basic setup. We have a small sign outside, but most people just know us as the Ultra Tech Cements Ltd place on 6th street. The humidity here can be a lot, so we keep the windows open to catch any breeze that comes through. Inside, it’s mostly just us working through the orders and talking to the drivers. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or corporate policies that we talk about; we just try to be helpful when someone comes in. The street can get crowded with bikes and scooters, so it’s always a bit chaotic outside our door. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we know the other shop owners on the block. We usually grab lunch from one of the local messes nearby. It’s a straightforward life, working with the materials and making sure the counts are right at the end of every day. No frills, just regular daily work in the heat. Arakkonam isn't a place for people who like things quiet, but we have grown to love the energy of these streets and the neighbors.
