Udhaya & Company

Udhaya & Company is over at 16, Meenambakkam. It’s a small place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We’ve been here for a few years now, and it feels like home. Meenambakkam is a busy area, especially with the airport nearby, so there’s always a bit of a rush in the air. We do a bit of general trading and help people with various services. It’s just me and two other staff members. We share a small office space that gets a bit hot in the afternoons. We have an old fan that wobbles, but it does the job. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. We don’t have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, one of us just does it. We keep our records in big binders on the shelf. It’s easier than trying to figure out complicated computer programs. People around here know they can just drop in. We usually have the radio on in the background. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We just try to get through the work and help out the folks who come to us. Sometimes we stay late to finish up paperwork, but usually, we’re out by six. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay afloat and do right by the community.
