Tyche Drilling Fluids Pvt Ltd is based at 21, 1St Cross Street in the Lake Area of Nungambakkam. It’s a nice enough spot, though parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We work with various fluids used in drilling. It's a bit technical, but for us, it's just what we do every day. The office is usually filled with the smell of paper and maybe a bit of chemical residue if we have samples open. We aren't a huge corporation. It’s a handful of us sitting at desks near the window. We spend hours looking at specs and talking to engineers. The Lake Area is usually quiet, which helps when we have to concentrate on the ratios for the mixtures. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for 1St Cross Street, so we end up standing outside waving them down. Our furniture is a bit mismatched because we bought it at different times. We keep a lot of records in metal filing cabinets that screech when you open them. It's not the most modern place, but it works for what we need. We focus on the fluids and making sure the orders are correct. Nungambakkam is a busy part of town, but our little corner is tucked away. We just handle the business as it comes, one day at a time, without making much of a fuss about it. The water cooler leaks a bit so we have a towel under it.
