Tvs Logistics operates out of Plot No:15 on Vaigai Street in the Rajeshwari Avenue area. This is in Madhananthapuram, which is part of Porur in Chennai. If you’ve ever tried to drive through Porur, you know it takes some patience. Our office is tucked away on Vaigai Street, and it’s a fairly busy little pocket. We spend our time managing the logistics side of things, which usually involves a lot of back-and-forth with drivers and checking on arrivals. The office has that lived-in feel, with tea cups on the desks and stacks of manifests everywhere. It’s not the kind of place you’d go to see modern art; it’s just a place where work happens. We’ve got the 116 pincode and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a good bit now. Sometimes the rain in Chennai makes the roads around here a bit difficult, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a lot of long hours and making sure the trucks are where they are supposed to be. We aren’t trying to be anything we aren’t. We are just a group of people working in transport, trying to keep the wheels turning. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the local system works. It’s a simple setup, but it serves the purpose for what we do every day. We usually lock up late after the final check-ins are done.
