Tvs Logistics is situated at C - 19, right by the Railway Police Qts on Gengu Reddy Road in Egmore. Being in Chennai, it gets quite hot in the office, especially in the middle of the afternoon when the sun hits the front of the building. We are pretty close to the station, so there’s always that background noise of trains and city life. The office itself is fairly basic. We have our desks set up in a way that lets us talk to each other without having to get up. There’s usually a stack of delivery manifests on the corner table that never seems to get any smaller. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and trying to figure out the best routes for things. It’s practical work and doesn't involve much glamour. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to wait a minute for things to reload, which gives us a chance to catch our breath. We’ve got a small area where we keep the water cooler, which is probably the most popular spot in the office during May. The neighborhood is mostly old buildings and small shops, which gives it a familiar feel. We’ve been here in Chennai 600 008 for a long time and we know the local rhythm well. It’s just a group of us working hard in a space that’s seen a lot of use over the years, doing what needs to be done.
