Down in Old Washermenpet on Kailaya Street, we have our setup at Tvs Logistics Services Limited. Chennai is a big place for logistics, and this neighborhood is quite busy. We operate out of New No 11. It's a practical space. We don't have any big signs or fancy lobbies. Inside, it's mostly people working on computers and talking on their mobile phones. We deal with a lot of different routes across Tamil Nadu and other parts of India. Every morning we check the manifests. It’s a lot of data, but we manage it one step at a time. The street outside can get pretty cramped with vehicles, but that’s just how it is here. We have a small area where we keep our records. Some of the files go back a long way. We think it's important to keep track of things properly. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just handle the movement of goods. If someone asks for help with a shipment, we look at the maps and tell them what we can do. It’s a straightforward job. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down for a few minutes. Then it’s back to the phones and the lists. We stay here until the work is done for the day and then we go home.
