Our office is situated at No 31 on the first floor of V G P Murphy Square. It is on the 2nd Cross Street in Meenambakkam, which is a very convenient spot if you are in the logistics trade because the airport is right there. You can hear the roar of the planes taking off every few minutes, which reminds us why we are here at Tulsidas Khimji Pvt Ltd. The office isn't very large, but we have enough space for the desks and the big steel cabinets where we keep all the records. It is a bit of an old-school environment. We still use a lot of paper despite everything being digital these days. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you are carrying boxes. We have a few plants on the windowsill, but they struggle a bit with the Chennai heat. Our team has been together for a long time, so we don't really need to explain things to each other anymore. We just get on with the freight work. There is no corporate dress code here; we just wear what is comfortable for a long day of work. Sometimes we get stuck in the Meenambakkam traffic on the way out, but that is just part of living in this city. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving stuff and filling out forms.
