Our place, Transteel Seating Technologies Ltd, is located over at No 38 in Nungambakkam. It’s right there where College Road and Greames Road kind of meet up. If you know Chennai, you know this part of town is always moving. We focus on seating and office stuff, mostly because that’s what people in these offices around here need. The building isn't anything too flashy, just a solid place where we get work done. We have a lot of different chairs and desks sitting around. Some days it feels like we’re surrounded by a forest of armrests and wheels. We don't spend time on big speeches or fancy slogans. We just show up, talk to people about what kind of chair might fit their desk, and try to keep things moving. It’s a practical business. The staff here has been around for a bit, so we know the inventory pretty well. Nungambakkam can be a headache for parking sometimes, but we’re used to it. We see a lot of office managers and folks starting new businesses coming through our doors. We just give them the facts and let them decide. It’s a simple way of doing things. We’re glad to be in such a central spot, even if the traffic gets a bit much in the evenings. You get used to the sound of the city after a while.
