Our office for Transport Corporation Of India Ltd is located right on Anna Salai in Nandanam, just opposite the G.R. Complex in Chennai. It’s a busy spot, and there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside. We are one part of a much bigger network, but here in the office, it’s just a handful of us making sure the trucks are moving. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with different depots and checking on arrival times. It’s a lot of mundane stuff like filling out forms and talking to drivers who are tired from being on the road. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern look. It’s just a standard office with files piled up and the smell of tea in the afternoons. Chennai is a major hub, so things never really slow down for us. We handle all kinds of transport requests and try to keep everything on track, even when the rain starts pouring and slows everything down. We aren't here to give sales pitches. We just want to get the job done and go home at the end of the day. People know us because we’ve been at this location for a long time. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but someone has to keep the goods moving across the country. We take the work seriously without making a big deal out of it or using fancy words.
