Armenian Street here in Parrys is always a bit of a scramble, honestly. We’ve been tucked away at number 41 for quite some time now, and if you know the area, you know it’s never quiet. Right across from us is the Reliance Web World, which is what we usually tell people to look for when they’re trying to find our door for the first time. It’s a lot of traffic and people moving about, but that’s just how Chennai is in this part of town. Inside the office, it’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day travel bookings. We spend a lot of our time on the phones or staring at computer screens trying to get things sorted for folks. It’s not a fancy setup with leather chairs or anything like that. We have our desks, some old files, and a lot of pens that seem to go missing whenever you actually need them. The building has its quirks, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you aren’t used to them. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the vibe on Armenian Street stays pretty much the same. We mostly focus on getting the tickets and itineraries right so people can get where they’re going without a headache. It’s steady work and keeps us busy from morning until we finally close up shop in the evening. Sometimes we just sit and have tea while watching the crowds outside.
