Panai Organic

We’re set up over on Mount Pattern Street in Thoraipakkam at No. 3/762. Panai Organic is really just about bringing in stuff that isn't full of chemicals or processed too much. We spend a lot of time sourcing products from different places and making sure they’re actually what they say they are. The shop is simple, nothing too fancy to look at, just wooden shelves and some metal containers filled with various goods like rice and spices. Thoraipakkam has changed so much lately with all the new IT buildings, but we’ve stayed right here on this side street. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to get to this specific street, but we have our regulars who come by every week. We aren't trying to be a massive supermarket or anything like that. It’s more of a local spot where you can get your pulses, grains, or whatever else happens to be in season. Sometimes the shipments are late because of the traffic on the main road, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow morning. We handle everything ourselves, from unloading the bags off the truck to tidying the shelves at the end of the day. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but it feels right to do it this way. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big ad campaign. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors. It’s just a small business.
