Hardy Racks And Enclosures Private Limited is tucked away on Plot No. 22-23 on 2Nd Street. We are in Venketshwara Nagar which is part of the Thirumullaivoyal area. If you come by, you’ll hear the sound of metal cutting before you even see the sign. This shop makes racks and various enclosures for all sorts of uses. Heavy work like this means the floor is always full of steel sheets and frames. Most of the staff live nearby so they walk or bike in every morning. A big corporate lobby or front desk person isn't something we have here. Usually, if someone walks in, one of the guys from the back will wipe their hands on a rag and come see what is needed. The summer months in Chennai are really something else inside a metal workshop. Big fans stay running but it’s still hot. We try to keep things moving in an orderly way, but when a big shipment of raw material arrives, the whole place gets a bit crowded for a few days. Space is used as well as we can. It’s a lot of welding and bolting things together. Because the street outside is narrow, getting the big trucks in and out takes some skill from the drivers. We’ve been at this spot for a good long time now and everyone knows us on this street.
