Taylor Rubber Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. 283 in the Sidco Industrial Estate. We are in the Thirumudivakkam area of Chennai. The industrial estate is a busy place with a lot of manufacturing going on. Our factory focuses on rubber products, so there is usually that distinct smell of rubber in the air when you walk in. We have various machines for molding and cutting, and it keeps the floor pretty loud throughout the shift. Being in Chennai, the humidity can be quite something, especially in the middle of the factory. We’ve been at this plot for a good number of years now. We have a team of workers who have been with us for a long time and they know the machines inside out. We don’t really spend money on big advertisements. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with other businesses that need rubber parts. We just try to get the dimensions right and the shipments out on time. The office part of the building is small and mostly used for keeping the accounts and checking orders. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We just show up, do the work, and head home. If you are coming from the main part of the city, it takes a bit of a drive to get out here to Thirumudivakkam. We usually keep some fans going to deal with the Chennai heat. We have a shelf full of molds.
