Precitek Exports

We are based at No. 226 in the Industrial Estate on 8th Cross Street in Thirumudivakkam. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise from machines and trucks, but we’ve grown to like it. It feels like a place where things actually get made and moved. Precitek Exports has been at this address for quite some time. Our space is more of a warehouse and workshop than a traditional office. We have high ceilings and concrete floors that stay cool even when it’s hot outside. We spend our hours checking over the items we’re sending out and making sure they’re packed tight for the journey. The 8th Cross Street is usually busy with other workers from nearby units, so there’s a real sense of being part of a working community. We don't have a marketing department or people in fancy suits walking around the floor. We mostly wear work clothes because things can get a bit dusty or greasy depending on what we’re handling that day. We take our breaks together and usually talk about local news or what’s for lunch at the canteen. It’s a very grounded way to earn a living. We don't make big promises or use glossy brochures. We just focus on the technical details of our exports and try to make sure we don't make any mistakes with the shipping labels or the count.
