Thermostar

Thermostar is located at number 76/51 on Karunanidhi Street in Nehru Nagar, Velachery. It’s a residential neighborhood but there are quite a few businesses like ours tucked away. We work on things related to heating and cooling. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We have pipes, valves, and some heavy equipment sitting on the floor. Most of our work is done on-site, so the shop is often empty during the day except for one person answering the phone. Velachery can get flooded when it rains heavily, so we've had to move our stuff to higher shelves before. It’s a bit of a worry every monsoon. We drive an old van to get to our jobs. It makes a rattling noise but it hasn't let us down yet. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few local guys who know their way around a wrench. We write our notes on small pads of paper and keep them in our pockets. Sometimes we lose a pen or two. It’s a simple operation. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth is enough for us. Neighbors know what we do. We just want to do the work and get home to our families in the evening. It’s a good living and we like the people around here. The street is usually quiet in the afternoons.
