Our place is located at 40/7 on Ramakrishna Street, right off North Usman Road in T Nagar. If you know T Nagar, you know how packed the streets get with shoppers and traffic. We’ve been operating Taurus Leathers and M G M Exports from this building for quite some time. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the leather samples and finished goods stacked up. We deal mostly in leather products, so there’s that distinct smell of tanned hides everywhere. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s more of a working office and storage area. We have a few long-time employees who really know their stuff when it comes to leather. We don’t really do big presentations or have a sales team. We just show people what we have and let the work speak. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just part of being in this area. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails for international orders. It’s a lot of small details to keep track of. We aren’t interested in sounding corporate. We are just a group of people trying to run a decent business in a busy part of town. We keep things pretty simple and don’t make promises we can’t keep. It’s just how we’ve always done it. We're usually here late if there is a big shipment going out to a client.
