Brama Incubator

Brama Incubator is located right on the Main Road in Maruthi Nagar, not too far from Porur. It’s a busy spot with a lot of traffic passing by throughout the day. We set up here because it’s easy for people to find us. Inside, it’s a bit of a mix of different things going on. We call it an incubator because we help small ideas get a bit of a start. It’s not a sterile laboratory, though. It’s more like a shared workspace where things can get a little messy. There are wires running across some of the floors and plenty of coffee mugs on the tables. We don’t have a formal dress code or anything like that. People come in, find a spot, and get to work. Sometimes we help them figure out a problem, and sometimes they just need a place with a stable roof and some light. The building isn't brand new, so the air conditioning can be a bit temperamental in the summer. We just open a window or bring in an extra fan. We don't spend time writing mission statements. We just try to make the space useful for whoever is using it at the time. Maruthi Nagar is a lively neighborhood, so there’s always a place nearby to grab a quick snack when we’re working late. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of place that does what it’s meant to do for the people here.
