Tan Business Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Number 26 on 5th Cross Street in the Lake Area of Nungambakkam. Nungambakkam is one of those places in Chennai that is always full of life, but the Lake Area is actually a bit more peaceful than the main roads. We are tucked away on 5th Cross Street, which makes for a decent working environment. Our office is a straightforward space where we manage our different business interests. It’s not a very big building, just a regular place that fits our needs. The streets around here are narrow and can get pretty crowded during the morning and evening rush. We usually have our tea at the small stall down the road. The weather in Chennai is almost always humid, so the fans are always running in the office to keep us from melting. We have a small group of people working here, and everyone knows what they have to do. There is no hierarchy to worry about; we just sit down and get through the list of things for the day. Sometimes we have to run out to meet people in other parts of the city, which can take forever because of the traffic. But coming back to the Lake Area feels like a bit of a relief. It’s a solid place to work and we’ve been here long enough to know the neighbors.
