Tamilnadu Minerals Ltd (Tamin)

Our office is located at No 31 Twad House on Kamarajar Salai. It is an older building that sits near the coast in Triplicane. Any mail we get usually comes through Post Box 2961. Our work here is mostly about managing the various mineral resources for the state. If you walk into our rooms, you will see stacks of files and old maps sitting everywhere. It really feels like an office that has seen many years of work go by. People come by to sort out their permits or to talk about granite and other types of rocks we handle. The sea breeze comes through the windows sometimes, but mostly we just hear the hum of the ceiling fans. We work with many different mining sites across the state, but this Triplicane office is where all the paperwork and planning happen. It is a lot of administrative work that keeps us busy from morning to evening. Sometimes the phones just don't stop ringing with questions. We aren't doing the actual digging here in the city, but we have to keep a very close track of everything that happens out in the fields. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the daily routines well. It is a traditional workplace where things get done at a steady pace. There is always someone coming in with a query about a quarry or a new shipment. It is just people doing their jobs with plenty of tea.
