Taj Industrial Sewing Machines is over on Mohammaed Hussain Street in Royapettah. Our address is New No. 36. If you know Royapettah, you know the streets can be a bit narrow and crowded, but that’s what gives the neighborhood its character. We’ve been here for a good while, and our shop is filled with all sorts of machines and parts. It’s not the neatest place in the world because there is always something being repaired or moved around. You’ll probably see some oil stains on the floor and tools scattered on the workbenches. That is just how it is when you work with industrial equipment. We have a small crew of people who know their way around a needle and a motor. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us by walking down the street or hearing about us from a neighbor. The building itself is older, and it has that classic Royapettah feel to it. Sometimes it gets a bit hot inside during the summer, but we keep the fans going and keep working. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy showroom. We are just a local business on a busy street doing what we know how to do. If you come by, you might have to squeeze past a crate or two to get to the counter, but that is just part of the experience here. We like the way things are and don't plan on changing much.
