Down in Perambur, at 1 Baharathi Road First Street, is where you’ll find us. This part of Chennai has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. Our building is a bit older, and the rooms inside are filled with the sound of people talking on headsets and the tapping of keyboards. It’s the kind of place where the lights are on for long hours because there is always work to be done, day or night. We don't really have a lot of decorations; it’s mostly just workstations and a small break room where the fridge makes a weird humming noise. The street outside is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache for anyone visiting us here. We’ve got a lot of young people working here, so the energy is usually pretty high, even if everyone is tired from the commute. We spend our shifts helping people out with various issues, which means we hear a lot of different stories every day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady, and we’ve built a bit of a work family here. During the monsoons, the road outside sometimes gets a bit flooded, and we all have to roll up our trousers to get to the main road after finishing a shift. It’s just a regular office life in Perambur, with its own set of small problems and daily routines that keep us busy all year round.
