We’ve been in Korukkupet for quite some time now. Some days it’s quiet and we just spend time re-arranging the shelves, other days it gets quite busy with neighbors dropping in for a chat or to buy something. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. The shop is tucked into Carnation Nagar and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is kept. We don’t do big fancy displays or spend money on ads. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It’s a practical way to run a business. We get all kinds of people from around Korukkupet. Sometimes they need something specific like a card or a toy, sometimes they are just looking. We just do our thing here at No. 148 and don't worry about much else. It’s a regular job for us and we like the people around here.
