Our spot is at 51, Murthingar Street in Vyasarpadi. Supriya Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this part of Chennai for quite some time now. It’s not the most modern part of the city, but it works for us. The street is usually busy with local traffic and people going about their business. We have a modest setup here with a few rooms for the office staff and a bit of space for storage. Dealing with elevators means we are always thinking about parts and maintenance schedules. The walls are lined with charts and calendars to keep us on track. It gets pretty humid here, so we usually have a few fans going at full speed. The team is small and we’ve all known each other for years. We aren't interested in being a big corporate entity; we just want to get the work done right. Most mornings start with a quick check of the new messages and a cup of local tea. We talk to a lot of people every day, mostly about technical issues or delivery times. It’s the kind of place where things can get a bit dusty from the street outside, but nobody really minds. We are just a group of people working hard in Vyasarpadi, making sure the business stays on its feet. It’s practical, everyday work that keeps us all busy. We don’t have much in the way of fancy perks, just a solid place to come and do a day’s labor.
