Sundha Gifts & Trophy

Our shop is tucked away on Thayer Sahib Street, not too far from the big LIC building on Mount Road. We spend most of our time putting together trophies and looking for gift items that people might actually want to give someone. It is a small space at Shop No. 1/2, so things can get a bit cluttered with all the boxes and plaques. We have been here for years. You know how it is, someone wins a local cricket match or a school event, and they need a prize that looks alright on a shelf. That is usually when they come find us. We do the engraving ourselves in the back. Sometimes the machine is loud, but it gets the job done. It is a family-run thing, mostly. We are not trying to be a big department store. We just like seeing the look on a kid's face when they get a shiny trophy. The street outside is narrow and can get pretty jammed up with bikes on Ellis Road, but we like the neighborhood. People stop by while they are out running other errands. We have some glass cases with different knick-knacks and awards. It is just honest work, making sure the names are spelled right on the metal plates. We keep the doors open six days a week and just keep at it. It is a simple way to make a living.
