Sundaram Motors Mount Road

We are located at No 180-A on Anna Salai, right across from where they publish Ananda Vigadan. If you know Mount Road, you know how hectic it gets around here. Our building is an old landmark in its own way. Every morning starts with the sound of shutters going up and the smell of coffee from the canteen. The staff here has a mix of young kids and people who have been around since the road looked completely different. We spend the day walking back and forth across the floor, checking on the vehicles and answering the phones which never seem to stop ringing. The sun hits the front windows hard in the afternoon, making it pretty bright inside. We have a lot of space for the cars, but the parking outside is always a bit of a puzzle. Most of us take the bus or ride bikes to get here because of the traffic. It’s a straightforward operation. We handle the paperwork, show the different colors of the cars, and wait for the evening rush to die down so we can head home. There is always a layer of road dust to wipe off the desks, but that is just part of being on Mount Road. It is a big, busy place with a lot of history in the walls. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, day in and day out.
