Our office is on the first floor of 1161, right near the Vijayamaruthi Bus Stop in Anna Nagar West. It's not a place you’d notice if you weren't looking for it. Sun Detective Intelligence Network India Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big title, but we are just a small group of people working out of a quiet space. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking through records. It’s not like what you see in the movies. There are no dramatic car chases here. Mostly, it’s about sitting and waiting or talking to people to find out the truth about something. The office has some old filing cabinets and a few desks that have seen better days. We keep the curtains drawn mostly because it gets very hot in the afternoons. People come to us when they have problems they can't solve on their own. We listen to their stories, take some notes, and see what we can find out. It’s a lot of paperwork and sometimes walking around the city for hours. We don't promise anything impossible. We just do the footwork and report what we see. Sometimes the news is good, sometimes it isn't. The bus stop outside is always crowded, so there’s a constant sound of engines and people shouting. We just ignore it and focus on the files on our desks. It's a strange job, but someone has to do it.
