Even though the name sounds big, our office here at Gee Gee Universal in Chetpet feels like a regular local workplace. We are on the first floor of building number 2 on Mcnichols Road. It’s a decent area of Chennai, and we have our daily routines just like any other office around here. We handle a lot of the logistical and paperwork side of the business from this branch. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the regular callers and the local vendors. The office has desks, computers, and a lot of files that keep us busy from nine to five. We drink a lot of coffee while going through spreadsheets and coordinating with different departments. It’s not always exciting, but it’s steady work. Sometimes the rain in Chetpet makes the commute a bit of a mess, but we still make it in. We don't have any fancy mission statements plastered on the walls; we just try to get our tasks done without too many errors. People come in for meetings now and then, and we usually just sit in the small conference room and talk shop. We are just a group of employees trying to keep things moving smoothly. It’s a mix of younger staff and some who have been with the company for decades. We just focus on the day-to-day operations and making sure the reports are filed correctly before we head home.
