Studio44

Studio44 is tucked away on the ground floor of the KG Master Piece building. You can find us on Nelson Manikam Road in Aminjikarai, right across from where the Shoban Babu statue stands. It’s a lively part of Chennai, and the traffic outside is almost always moving. We spend our days here working on various design projects. The space is simple, mostly just some big tables and computers. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if you walk in, you'll see someone hunched over a drawing or arguing about a specific detail on a floor plan. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. It’s a good spot for us. We aren't really the type to use big words or talk about "vision" and stuff like that. We just enjoy the process of making things look right and work well. Sometimes the ideas come quickly, and other times we’re staring at a blank screen for hours. That is just the nature of the job. We grab lunch from the local shops nearby and keep going. If you’re in Aminjikarai and see the statue, look across the road and you'll probably see our lights on until late in the evening. It’s just what we do here at Studio44. We keep it simple and focus on the drawings.
